'Tis the Season ....

For many, the Christmas season creates a generous desire to help others.  For the fourth year, Fairfield County School District will have their annual Angel Tree Program.  This year, fifty-four (54) students have been identified as “homeless” under the McKinney-Vento Act or in need by the District’s Office of Attendance, District’s Parent Liaisons and/or Social Workers for this year’s program. So how can YOU help? On Wednesday, November 30th the Christmas tree (near the District Auditorium) will hold the names of those students that are participating in the Angel Tree Program. Each angel will contain the child’s initials, grade level, and their Christmas wish list.  We would like for you to:
  • Select an “angel” off of the tree.  You can either come by the District Office or you can simply request that I email you an angel (or angels) to gebrown@fairfield.k12.sc.us.
  • Next, go shopping for gifts off of the Christmas list provided – the items listed are just suggestions of what the child has requested. You ultimately can choose what you want to give.
  • If you just want to make a financial donation, we can take care of the shopping for you!
  • You can sponsor a child as an individual, team, or department.
  • Wrap the gift and label with the initials of the child and the number listed on the angel.
All gifts should be turned into the District Office by no later than Wednesday, December 14, 2016.  All Angel Tree gifts will be picked up by the students on Thursday, December 15, 2016.
